About my paintings

My paintings are inspired by colours and textures in the landscape, the play of light on forms and the feelings and emotions various locations evoke in me. I’m particularly interested in the contrasts nature provides; rough and smooth, dark and light, linear and curved. I try to recreate the contrasting emotions nature elicits, be it awe, joy, stillness, or fear through a combination of broad brushstrokes, textured surfaces and a variety of painting mediums.
